I never saw how much they're expecting it to hold - data wise. Anyone know?

Dual-layer disks hold about 8GB, or somewhat less than double a single-layer disk.

One issue with dual-layer is that the burner has to burn both layers completely, so combined with the slower speed necessary for dual-layer burning it takes a lot longer to make a DL disk than a SL one. But in time it will get faster.

on HD-DVD? A single layer for HD-DVD is rated at 15GB.

Also small clarification. The rule for DL media is that both layers must contain the same amount of data not that both layers must be fully burnt.
