OT: Help w/ Sony MP3

I'm looking to buy this little USB stick MP3 player that Sony makes and I'm testing one out before I buy it (I know someone who has the same one) and I thought maybe because I was capturing in Vegas when I was trying this at first, was why it wasn't working right.

I plug it in to a USB port and the pop up offers me to: transfer via Media Player or take no action. However, on another computer I have, I get the option to "Open folder to view files", which is what I need. My computer will list the player in the device manager and in Media Player but it won't even give me the little tray icon "safely remove hardware" bit.

Sorry, I know this is super off topic.

Did the player come with software to be installed? Some memory sticks won't show up as a removable drive without their own driver. A lot of the older Lexar devices are like that, for example. I've got a similar problem with my Archos media player. On most PCs it will show up as a removable drive letter when it's plugged into a USB port but on some it doesn't. Install the USB driver that is available on their website and it works on every computer.

The computer it works on is an old crappy P4 Dell which has almost nothing on it. My computer is a Pentium D. I found some USB driver for it on the net but it wanted me to connect the player (which it wouldn't detect). I'll look around again, thanks.
