OT: "Hmmm.. Nice Sun Visor?" . . .

Always looking "sideways" for products, and NOT needing to get out my Velcro and Scissors I just stumbled on this option for a "budget" solution for those of us while using an external camera monitor for framing etc etc . .

Saw this on e-Bay and thought of you lot! A TomTom Sun Visor

I guess where you are, on the Planet, you will find alternatives.

You could also checkout the Hoodman range, a little bit more expensive but they seem to have models to fit everything including the camera LCDs and an optional fresnel magnifier.

I got one from petrol that covers all four sides plus has and aditional visor. For me down in sunny Fl it needs to cover all 4 sides or there is too much glare.

I built my own, using canvas-coated plastic. Just sewed some velcro around the edges, and voila', it was done. Course' this was long before Hoodman. On the cams and laptops, now we just use the Hoodman. I *love* the Hoodman popup for the laptop.

Hoodman are very limited with coverage for 16:9 screens. i could not get one for my FX1, but I made Spots Velcro sound box so here I go getting the scissors out again.
