OT: Homemade Dollys

I had two projects wanted to share with you that saved money.

The first was a pipe track dolly system. It was built using the

REVISED: Made it a 3 leg without the board.

I purchased Sachtler hold down rubber straps to secure the tripod legs.

The second was a traditional dolly. Sachtler makes a great tripod and http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/78863-REG/Sachtler_7063_Dolly_75.htmldolly[/link]
but it was far out of our budget (>$450). A Smith Victor http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/329010-REG/Smith_Victor_701210_Universal_Tripod_Dolly_A.htmluniversal dolly[/link] (<$60)
looked good but the clamps did not hold the spiked legs as secure as I wanted.
I removed the clamps and wheels so I could drill two 3/8" holes for the leg spikes
to sit in. The local hardware store had 1 1/8" x 7/8" x 1/8" #27 O-Rings that
was more than enough to keep the tripod on the dolly. (I used 2 at each leg)
