Use iTunes and add the file to your movie or TV library. Then manually or auto synch with the iPhone. Works the same way for iPxd

Where do I see my iPhone appearing? Presently it is not appearing within iTunes. I have the iP connected and I can see that it is registered as a USB device under the hardware section of my PC.

The phone works. I can call and I even surfed the NET and read some of our postings here while atop of the No52 London Bus - marvellous!

What now . . . ?

Grazie,

If you have iTunes running, and you plug in the USB cable from the PC to the phone, iTunes should recognize it and it should show up as a device on the left side of the screen within iTunes. (I'm doing this from memory as I do not have iTunes on the computer I am working on now)

Then there should also be a tab in the upper middle that should give you details on the phone..... do you get that?

Hiyah! As it IS my burfday today, I have taken sometime to reply . . apologies.

No iPhone device was being revealed. (I was being told by a number of "specialists" that as the PC was nearly 10 years old that it could be running USB1 and not USB2 ( o . . k . . . ); then it could be the cable; then it was the phone and so on and so on . . .

OK . . this morning - Birthday Morning! . . I did a search on the INTERNET and asked the very simple question:

"pc usb not recognize iphone

And I got back that Services for iPhone Mobile in XP needed to be restarted to make iTunes "see" the device.

If you'll interested here's the link:

http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/06/error-iphone-is-not-recognized-in-itunes-windows-mac/

And now - dear hearts - all is working as it should. I can eject the iPhone and re-insert and it it springs to life again in iTunes. I haven't yet done a re-boot of PC but at least I have a way forward IF I get a "no-show" for my iPhone . . .

I now have my videos I can show to clients on a screen that is well-FIT!

Cheers . . .

Thanks Guys!!

So, Steve Jobs (Apple) wants MY Credit Card details before I can swap MY own videos, from MY creativity, from MY output from Vegas? Nice . . . .

The only way I can swap around my output to my lubbily new iPhone is via iTunes - and that I need to submit my details . .

"for he's a jolly good fellow" so right! Enjoy your day!

There are many work around(s) for "Steve" control; but my favorite one is this..... place the iphone 4 on a solid surface outside the house, facing north, do not touch the metal antenna housing, then carefully and forcefully drive a 15 lb hammer thru it....... don't forgot the safety glasses. Packaged the remains carefully and then UPS them to "Steve" the little Castro or Bill Gates want-be(your choice) ;-)
