OT: how many pages should a script be for a movie?

Just kind of wondering. I am using Final Draft and I am looking to get at least 90 minutes for this feature.

Already have 18 pages of some decent but not outstanding dialogue. But its getting there. I dont know what will be mor fun. Writiing this script or actually shooting it.

Thanks.

p.s. sorry for all the OTs today. been a slow day here with all of this darn snow.

I think 1 minute per page is the standard assumption.

I would shoot for writing more pages and then do a planned rewrite and tighten it up.

I think for the first draft you find out what story is and how it works out. Then, for the second draft, you can think not about the story, but the telling of that story.

I just replied to your thread on ND.

In proper feaure format, for scheduling purposes 1 page is estimated to be 1 minute of screen time. But if you sumbitted a 90 page script an agent would tell you it's underwritten. You probably want to shoot for 105-110 pages. No more than 120 or they'll tell you it's overwritten. There are many screenwriting forums online to help.
