Domain name is TV101.com. Registered this domain name years ago. Like to read your ideas of how you'd use it.
ie Video hosting, Pay per view streaming, internet station, etc, etc.
Curious of potential commercial uses.
You might be able to use it in a number of ways, simultaneously.
1) Spotlighting the history of television
2) Discussing or teaching television production methods
3) As a repository for criticism about television programs / business.
But what pops out in my mind mostly is the idea of using the website to TEACH something about TV, whether one or more of the examples above, or something else altogether.
The "101" represents "beginner's level" in my thinking. I.e. "Math 101", "English 101", "Art 101" - a beginner level class. "TV 101" would be an introduction of some sort to TV.
And this is coming from someone who appreciates jokes like:
There are 10 kinds of people in the world - Those who know binary and those who don't.
Now if it was TV0101 or TV0110 or something like that....
I’m with Edward on this one. 101 means a fundamental beginner’s class. No experience necessary. No prerequisites. I would expect to see the fundamentals of television explained at TV101.com. Of course, it could also contain everything you wanted to know about television but were afraid to ask, but definitely oriented toward the beginner. That’s what 101 says to me.
