OT: HP scanner problem

Does anyone have experience with HP scanjet scanners (5400c)? I recently tried to update the firmware and now my scanner is complete unusable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does the scanner show up in the windows control panel? Did you completely uninstall the old software and remove the previous hardware instance? You may also want to try PrecisionScan Pro 3.13 for that scanner.
