There are some free 3D Obj body part files free downloads available

For stuff like that there is also a free 3d app called Anim8or that uses OBJ
I use it often and has a low learning curve

It renders out separate alpha matt besides your original comp

I have done some similar stuff and can zip e-mail the parts with anim8tor files

maybe the department of health has some. they put out material on spine injuries/diseases.

I use Dreamstime quite a lot for stock images:

rory,

thanks for the offer, greatly appreciated, but having told the client from the start that they needed to budget for 'graphics' in the 'secondary' sections they said, 'oh, no problem... we'll supply with material...'

i have no intention of doing anything more than point them to a source, and if they have to pay, that's their concern. i warned them...

hf,

where are you? i know the us government is great with it's material, here in aus they (the gov.) believe in user pays (and usually through the nose!!!!! )

jdw,

great site, have passed it on to the client. the ball is back in their court!

thanks all....

i'm in the US. most things the govt provides are allowed for any use under certain guidelines. I'm sure you could use any pre-made graphics too, the English company "Splash Damage" did for their game "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars". There should be usage permissions on the website.
