Hi, I need to import an .ac3 file from a wedding highlight back into VP9.
I find it ridiculous that you cannot do this.
Does anyone know of a free .ac3 converter that I can convert it into a wav or .mp3 format?
I had forgot to render this file as an avi and only had the video and audio files I rendered for DVDA5.
In V8 pro there is a menu under File , Import and then DVD, I think you may that as well...
But you are right it is poor show that it cannot be dragged back onto the TL
Failing that try "Super C"
I do save all my rendered files as well as the vob files created by DVDA.
With these wedding demos I always save a full 1440x1080 60i .avi, for future splicing and stringing for my wedding shows.
However this one wedding in particular I forgot to render it out to this format before blowing away the file. I do have the .m2t and .ac3 files for DVDA. Although it's not in HD it's better then nothing.
Open dvda and place the AC3 file on the time line (you don't even need video) and create a dvd to your hard drive. Then import the vob file to Vegas ( you *may* have to change the vob extension to mpg to get it in) The AC3 file should open up on the time line.
