Infoworld has an interesting little article that discusses the differences in business practices between AMD and Intel.

Seems as though, there are some interesting things in the works from AMD that will be revealed at the end of this month.

I'm looking forward to the quad core AM2 socket CPU's from AMD later this year.

that's a good article that says "mob rule is wrong." Hope it turns out right & AMD does have some great things to offer.

Just wish they stuck with the 939 socket. :)

I read some interesting things on AMD's website that is suppose to open the doors for their PUMA paltform - an equivalent Mobile AMD processor to the Intel Centrino - but with even lower power consumption than what Intel offers.

I was reading a test review of two identical entry level desktops with the only difference being one had an AMD/nVidia integrated graphics and an Intel Duo core with Intel integrated Graphics.

Results - The AMD utilized less power and had better performance both in speed and graphics - at a lower price.

Even though Intel currently rules the roost so to speak, the AMD/ATI chipset integration specs soon to be released will make for great times for us consumers looking for the best deal.

There is a lot on the horizon from both companies. Remember that they are now both using a new platform and they are both just getting started. AMD definitely has some ground to make up and their lack of production facilities may cripple them quickly.

seriously.. who cares who is doing what?
Fact remains that their existance allows us to do our work

with AMD forcing competition with intel, in turn forcing continual price drops, what one would brag about today will be obsolete tomorrow.
That the nature of this business.

IMO we should look at what WE need, be it mad eby AMD or intel, and decide from there..

fanboy politics really piss me off considering the nature of the Vegas beast

waht a total waste of time.. and i just wasted another 2 miutes writing up this post..
