OT: Internet Explorer

This is rather off-topic, but I figured I'd ask here...

I'm running Win 7 Pro and starting tonight, when I run IE11, I get a pop-up window asking "From now on, Internet Explorer will stop websites from silently changing these settings" -- there's more to the dialog, but it appears to be a Explorer 11 component asking me to set my default home page. And I can't click around it, so I've just closed out IE11 using Task Manager and used Chrome.

I did a general Google search for the phrase and didn't get a single hit, which is strange.

Has anyone seen this prompt / requester when running IE11 on Win 7 pro?

Thanks.

Sounds suspicious, but I'm not using IE.

Well, I figured out a way "around" it...

The pop-up wanted me to choose to either set my home page to www.msn.com or leave it on my current home page setting. So, I just opened the Internet Options (through the control panel) and manually set it to www.msn.com. This time when I ran IE, as expected, it started on msn but it didn't bug me about setting my home page. Then I navigated to the home page I was previously using and reset IE to the current page using the internet options from within the browser.

No more pop-up...

Probably no big deal, but you can never be sure...
