OT-ish . . . Colts & Lions

( . . whose gotta a hangover . . I aint! . . )

In the time honoured annals of Thanksgiving . . . we watched, courtesy of SKY Sports on my chum's Sony Wega system, what can only be described as truly lack lustre performance by the Lions last night. .. .Ok, this was helped by large servings of fish curry all round and large glasses of a light red. We finished off with vanilla and choc ice cream with hot choc sauce . . this was washed down with a rather interesting and not a little "frisky" sipping Vodka . . 4 hours kip and I'm back here, driving you lot nutz!

What a night!

generous understatement, only thing worse may have been the Bears performance much later in the vodka .

You only had to watch the Lions once, we've been suffering for decades.

You can say that again...

Many times on Thanksgiving, the Lions can rise to the occasion and play fairly well no matter how badly they suck the rest of the season. Not yesterday, though -- they were flatter than a steam-rolled tortilla.

What a team, what a team, what a team...

Ever see a team: penalized BEFORE the opening kickoff? Beaten by a 63-yard field goal kicked by a placekicker who was born without toes on his "kicking" foot? Lose on a kickoff returned for a touchdown on the first play of overtime on Thanksgiving day? Lose a player to an on-field heart attack in a regular season game, or another who was run over by a truck while mowing his lawn?

Ah, our Lions. Never a dull moment.

On second thought, LOTS of dull moments. Lucky for me, I needed the sleep...
