Grazie,
It looks like a great idea...if you are in GB. I can't seem to view any of the videos because I'm not a broadband subscriber in the country. Also, all the videos are in RealPlayer format. That would put off quite a few US folk.

Yes, I agree on both your points .. Real Player is NOT my favourite viewer.

Hi Guys,

Check out the Real Alternative Player as an ... um, well, .... alternative to Real Player. I use it to view the Real Media content on the BBC News website.

(You don't have to install the 'mega codec pack' to get it - it's available as a separate 4.9MB download if you scroll down the page a bit)

Cheers,

Scott

Real Player 10 doesn't seem to hijack your system. No, I don't believe it either. :)

Just watch out on the installation, you have to uncheck stuff.

Real Alternative worked well for me but now it can't play stuff not on C:\ (don't know why)

The BBC is my favorite website. If I want to learn what is going on in the world or even in the United States I read the BBC. It is so much more objective and complete than any American media I know of and doesn't seem to be controlled by special interests as the American media most certainly is.

God Save the Queen!

Grazie,
That is a great website you pointed us to. As an expatriate Brit who spent his early childhood days in wartme London it brought back many memories. One in particular which I plan to re-enact with some video I intend to shoot while over there in June. If you would like to contact me at vidron@sbcglobal.net maybe we could talk more about it.
