Hello everyone,
I apologize for the O.T., but I hope this can help someone out there.
I started working for this company a few months ago and am really happy about the decision to do so. They now have a couple more openings in Chantilly, Virginia. The company manufactures Digital Video Recorders for video surveillance systems and they are well regarded within their field. The kinds of individuals they need now are people with computer networking skills as well as CCTV knowledge. I didn't have CCTV knowledge, but my "hobby" video editing knowledge helped me get up to speed on the CCTV technology.
The work consists of "helpdesk" work (telephone support) assisting CCTV installers with installation issues with our equipment. Sometimes the installer is actually having networking issues, so that is where computer/networking knowledge comes in handy.
So, at times (I must admit) I do get tired of talking on the phone.... so it's not perfect. BUT it is secure work, due to the changing security needs of today's world, indeed, a growth industry at the very least.
If anyone in that area is looking for work and have the qualifications, the position is Technical Support Specialist described at this website: http://www.dedicatedmicrosus.com/aboutus_careers_us.asp
You can email me at dvdeviations at yahoo dot com if you have questions
Thanks for your time - Colleen
