Just watched 45 mins of movie trailers

http://www.apple.com/trailers/

...and it's amazing how many films are being shot of DV these days. It's interesting because you get the foriegn and lower budget movies that are using DV to save costs and on the other end of the scale, you have movies like Star Wars and Sin City that shoot in DV for creative control.

As there was with film before, you can also see the different levels of talent, craftmanships and skills that have been developed in the DV industry in what really is a short amount of time. With the ability to create stunning quality on your own terms, time and turf, it's the true artists who's works are slowly being recognized.

From the high concept, big budgeted hollywood blockbusters to the "Indie" DV films of the festivals to the personal projects seen on Chienworks site, there are many levels of unbridled creativity at play here.

As the internet and our computers evolve up to the next generation of speed, access and sophistication, there really can be no limits to what we as craftsmen and artists will be able to create and share.

I'm very thrilled to be involved with DV production at this present time.

Can't wait to see what's next....

Very Cool
Final Cut Pro is very strong, but I can't afford the G5 and monitor and the software...

I hope the next version of Vegas will be a world beater.
Best wishes and thank you,
Marty

Hi Stan - Apple trailers are some of my favorite things to watch. Talk about great inspiration. Some of those editors absolutely rock. Makes great study material!

Hope you are well my friend,
