OT: Kudos to Grazie and his wind cheater

There is a professional videography institute in the UK that publishes a monthly journal. I've just had the pleasure of reading Grazie's review of a LightWave Equalizer "wind cheater", the EQ-GL from LightWaveSystems.Com.

It is a fresh style of writing for the Focus magazine and indeed part of this is how he shows his enthusiasm for the art. The style isn't too unlike what we know and enjoy from Grazie here and at Cow/DMN etc. A valuable piece with none of that stuffy back slapping that the industry stalwarts like to gild their lily with. Good to see the mention of Vegas4d in there too. The IOV, despite other brands advertising, appear quite partial to staying out of any technological ruts.

For those in the UK who would like to see this article. See the IOV website and apply for an application pack. (IOV.co.uk)

Nice to see our friends in their off-the-web capacities. Thanks Grazie.
I don't gain in any corrupt way from sharing this with you here.

Well... this is me being being embarrassed .. make the most of it people . . But RB thanks for the recognition!

I really did enjoy doing the review and the field experiments. I was able to capture on the XM2 and put this into Vegas; made a graphic of the Waveform and used that as part of the written article. Along with this, I gave the IoV the actual sound file for us IoVers to download and actually "hear" the experiment - neat eh!?! You can hear the wind and my dulcet tones explaining what I was doing with the Equalizer - On/Off etc etc.

RB was correct with the link to the actual company, but here is the actual link to the GL-EQ product I reviewed.

. . .and yes, you UK videographers, become members of the Iov NOW!!! - And no, RB has nothing to gain from this post at all . . except my many thanks for taking the time to write his [?] piece . .

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS ! - Seeyah in 2004 . . .
