Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds:

[i]Core i7-920 Extreme processor, 17-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) primary display, Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M graphics. Up to 16GB DDR3 memory, 500GB HD storage, WiMAX, one USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, 2-megapixel camera, secondary 10.6-inch, WXGA (1280x800) screen display, that's stored in the laptop but pops out:

Is that all?

No, it also has a built-in Wacom tablet:

A bargain for $3800, and you'll save by being able to cancel your gym membership (it weighs 11 lbs. fully goosed).

Sigh...

wow... that IS cheap!

But I'd prefer a different processor.

Awww. That tablet is NOT lefty friendly.

While I'd normally agree, as a left who wouldn't use the KB while drawing, it wouldn't stop me.

What would be even cooler if it had touchscreen too. Geek-gasm! :D

I read some comments on it. People were complaining on the looks. I'm sick of laptops HAVING to look cool. IMHO the usefulness is being dictated by the looks. I'd rather have that monster vs a nicer looking one that does less @ the same price. They even mention in the article that the base model is better & cheaper then the comparable Dell, which looks pretty. For a $500 savings I wouldn't mind it not having rounded edges!

I've got a birthday coming up soon so if someone wants to surprise me, I'd gladly take either unit :-)

Ummm, the Spacebook doesn't even have WiMAX! (snif).

And there is all that space on top for a third 17" screen, totally unused.

Bah humbug.

:O)

I think they both need big carrying handles at either end so you and a friend can carry it.

Does it cut off your circulation if you have it in your lap too long?
