How is the viewing angle? The Hoodman looks quite long like a tunnel, when compared to the Vello 3.5" LCD Hood for example.
Should one look 100% straight into the hood to see the whole screen?
For example during slider, glide cam shots it's hard to look directly into the screen/ keep your head right in front of the screen.
mmm... hadn't thought of that. i use mine mostly in interview situations and look directly into it (otherwise you'll be cutting viewing area). the vello looks more like a anti-glare shield rather than 'hood'.
i also use the hoodman loop, but that'd be a non-starter on a slide glide / whatever.
I tried a similar one at first for my EX1. It was a pain to assemble when I needed it and it was clumsy and bulky. I threw it away and bought the same Hoodman mentioned above from B&H.
