Can someone recommend a good aluminum (or other) location cart that will hold pelican cases, C-Stands, laptop, tripod etc.? The flat dolly isn't working too well for me.
When I lived in Maryland Heights, there was a department store supply company that sold maniquens (sp?), racks, storage crates, racks, etc. I know that you are not trying to stock a store with supplies, but it did have some items that I used for other things and they sold them cheap! I recall they had carts with wheels for moving around hanger assemblies. You might want to look into this. It was back in 2001 when I did business with them. If I recall right it is somewhere off 57 on the southside of St. Louis well before you get to Arnold. I will look to see if I have an old magazine from them packed away somewhere. You could look in the St. Louis area phone book for department store supply warehouses, etc. or on Google. This isn't much help if I can't get you more than this huh?
This is the best you can do, in my opinion, Rock N Roller.

I just did some research and apparently the cart at Sam's isn't a Rock-n-Roller cart. And since the Rock-N-Roller cart link by Jay mentioned later in this thread is a much better price (with FREE shipping) then I would certainly go that route.
That Sam's Club cart appears to be the Rock-N-Roller cart. Now I need to figure out where to order a few of those cool attachment shelves for it as shown on the Rock-N-Roller website.
I've used my "sweet little Rock N' Roller" for years and it's never let me down. If you get the model with pneumatic wheels (which I suggest), you may want to take it somewhere and have tubes put in the tires! If you hit a curb and the pressure is low, you can have a flat. Tubes are just a few dollars and makes the darn thing almost indestructible.
The cart described on the Sam's Club page ($164) is comparable to the Rock N Roller mini-R6 ($120). So it's NOT such a deal just because it's from Sam's!
Yes, the Max is best over all, especially the wheels. If all you're ever going to tote your equipment over is flat, smooth floors, then the smaller wheels are fine. But anything other than that and the larger front wheels make a real difference!
Thanks for reminding me Jay! Today sourced, emailed and spoke with a UK supplier on our south coast. I'm going with the tyres AND a couple of shelves too. This last job, my knees and other bones have pretty well confirmed my need for one . .
