OT: Looking For Previous Post - Monitor

Jay Gladwell wrote on 5/22/2010, 10:20 AM

Several months ago (within the past year?) there was a post that contained the name, and maybe a link, to a high-end PC monitor. No, it wasn't an Apple monitor.

It was used for critical color grading of stills and graphics (not a video monitor). I think it was rather new to the monitor world.

I tried a search, but I came up with over 1100 hits--not ready to wade through all those.

Does anyone, by any chance, remember that post or monitor?

TIA

Found the monitor...

It was the HP DreamColor. A tad more expensive than I had remembered.

" A tad more expensive than I had remembered"

Don't forget you need the calibrator to get it working properly as well. Expensive is kind of relative, the Dreamcolor is cheap compared to the next step up. You can add a HD-SDI adaptor to the HP and it's still a lot cheaper then an Eizo with built in HD SDI.
