OT Menu Length limit

Can someone tell me if there is a limit on the length of a Menu in the DVD standard? And if so, is it LENGTH or a SIZE LIMIT and what is it?

Posters on the DVDA forum say the only restriction is that all the menus can't exceed 1 GB. in size.
