You might guess that I'm a bit enthused by this remarkable Tripod. If you can afford it, don't hesitate. I got the one with carbon fibre legs . . love it!

Just one tip, particularly for those in cold climates. Any fluid head needs to be warmed up before use. No I don't mean with a water bottle, just a few pans and tilts to get the oil flowing.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the benefit of carbon fiber legs? I could see it if weight is a factor, such as needing to carry your gear up a mountain, but otherwise wouldn’t more mass in the legs provide greater overall stability?

Climbing a mountain OR getting through the rigours of London, on and off trains, buses .. . yeah? Carried it around today and I was well pleased .. . The lightness thing and stability? I was the same until I tried this out .. . did it today around London, and I felt better than ever before . . .
