OT: MPEG-4 Audio

I see that there is a freeware MPEG-4 audio encoder for Mac's OS X. Is there any such app for PCs available?

Quicktime, but the encoder won't show up in Vegas if that's what you are searching for.

Actually, I was just looking for a way to encode mpeg-4 audio files (as opposed to mpeg-3).

Perhaps I've misunderstood you. Does Quicktime Pro encode audio .wav files to mpeg-4? I'll check it out while waiting for a reply.
