OT: MS MEdia Player Codec9 - with WinME?

QUESTION:I'm being offered this CODEC9 from MS. Will this do anything nasty to my WinME setup?

PROCESS: I'm accessing Chienworks site and downloading our colleagues samplers on the INternet. It is during this process that MS central is offering to send and me to sign for the CODEC9. At present I can't get video in MS Media Player, without the CODEC9 installed and signed for.

Any takers on this one?

We took it and it appears to be working fine. Go to www.dc1000.net to read several good reviews of 9.

Thanks - pb - Are you running WinME as I am? Recent answer to BillyBoys ongoing Firewire issue was that he should see if he has downloaded the CODEC9 - as it has been reported to be "buggy" - not my comment!
