OT: My music video - all done with vegas. posted just for fun! ha.

So I recorded the Audio about 1.5 years ago, it was our 3rd album. Since then we had gotten a Sony MiniDV camera, and decided to make a music video for the track.

Of course, we did that on Vegas as well.

Here it is:

Just go down to: Me vs. Me (music video - 33MB)

I'm interested to see what people think, because as goofy as it may seem at times of the video, it was really hard and took a while!! haha.

EDIT: (sorry!) - language and topics are for adults only! there is a parental advisory on this album. It's rap, too...by the way. - and yep, at the making of this video 18-19 years old.

In keeping with the most recent forum "standards" ... I would recommend that you include a warning in your post that some may be offended by the content of the video.

That being said.... on my first look through... I've got to say I think you have done a pretty good job.

nice vid. almost professional looking. i like the fast moving motion u guys did and the filters and effects were done in good taste. it's just very ghetto and no offense but u guys need to grow some muscles or tone up before taking off your shirt.

I think it's well done too, but a few more cuts would spice it up a bit, just based on the frantic nature of a lot of the shots where you've used speed control. They give a sense of urgency that doesn't quite follow the show throughout, so a few more cut in shots even with the media you have, would carry it a little farther.
A very fun vid no matter how you look at it.
Did you record the audio in Vegas?
Thank you for sharing.

I thought it was well done too. Creative use of filers, yet not overdone, including mirror which you don't see that often. I also liked the one effect when one guy's head on extreme left grew greatly, reminded me of a old Johnny Carson character from the Tonight Show, Mr. Brain, I think.

While not a fan of Rap, I thought the "music" was better than average for Rap, actually liked the tempo of it,.The windmill effect of one guy's hands probably was a bit too fast, otherwise, actually pretty good. For your next project, maybe mess around with exteme camera angles for some of it.

Has it been broadcast on any of the cable music video channels? Its as good as or better then a lot of stuff I've seen on MTV.

Looks like you had fun making it. If you're not bashful, which one was you?

I'd forgotten Mr. Brain. Thanks for the reminder. I was thinking more of Mr. Magoo in the episode where he went to the dentist and got stoned on gas.

I miss Johnny's characters, especially Carnac the Magnificent, the swami where he always did the bit with Ed. Half the time, the jokes that didn't go over that well were the most funny because of the interaction between Ed and Johnny.

haha, thanks guys.
I'm the one with the beard. This song is actually from our last album. Our newer album has a lot alot alot more appeal to people who don't like rap. Yes, i'm serious too. haha.. Of course it is all rap, but a lot more melody, girls singing in it, etc. etc. A lot of older adults (which is surprising) have praised us on our work! haha.

anyway, we're gonna work on the new music video's for the new album come June. We have a friend who's really into video/cameras (got that cannon GX2 or something like that??? haha.. i dont know but it's huge and is 3CCD is looks great on tv). So he's gonna shoot for us, with lighting and everything. Should turn out 5 times as good! And yeah, I'll probably edit it in vegas again - not him.

lastly, Audio WAS recorded with Vegas (Delta 44, some with the Aardvark Q10, soon to be with the DIGI 002). My real passion is the audio, and I record local bands/groups often!

so guys, what are you waiting for..order the new cd off that webpage! It's only 3 bucks plus shipping! haha.

Mr. Brain is actually a Jay Leno character.
