OT: Need help with Datavideo DN-60

I recently bought a DN-60 from B&H. Did a test recording with it with a PD-150, finalized the ScanDisk in the DN-60, connected it to my computer via a card reader and downloaded the file.

Opened the file in Vegas 8; great picture, no audio! So as a test I opened the file in Windows Media Player. Great picture and audio. However, if I stop playback, then resume play, there is no audio, although the picture still looks great.

Camera is set for 48Khz audio, as are Preferences in Vegas.

I'm stumped. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I really need to get this unit working.

Are you recording in "Sync to Tape" mode or manually? In what file format are you recording? Are you using the the SanDisk card which came with the unit?

Thanks for the quick reply, Kent. I'm recording Sync-to-tape, in the dv/.avi format, on a 32gb SanDisk card, same type as the card that came with the DN-60.

Hummm-never had any problem with the unit or bringing the files into Vegas. I use a built-in card reader on my computer for copying the files to a folder on an external HDD. Use it to do a monthly TV show and it has been flawless with the Extreme series SanDisk cards. Give Datavideo a call. They are VERY responsive and will stay on the fone with you until the problem is solved. If the tech guys aren't there when you call, they'll take your number and call back within a few hours. Let me know what you find out.

Also - you are copying the files over and not reading from the card - right?
