Recently a storm took out my on board network port!!! nothing else just no sign of the thing in bios or XP.
Could have rectified with a $8 network card but opted to 'upgrade' with a new MB, processor and memory ($620 Aud). Result is I now have a Asus P5K-VM with a Core 2 Quad and 2 gig of DDR2.
Are there any tweaks I should make and any recomendations on a PCI E video card (still running 2 glass 19" but expect to go digital LCD at some stage)
