OT: New good-looking chromakey sets

Here's from a post at the Serious Magic forums, a 3rd party developer is just now releasing what looks to be some high-quality chromakey sets:

http://realitysets.com

I like that they have outdoor shots w/moving video backgrounds. Likely this product niche will be a good market, for videographers to produce, in upcoming years like this .. eg high quality virtual sets/chromakey out there.

Til Serious Magic's Master Set Libraries (fantastic, highly recommended), I haven't seen any other v-sets that are professional enough to consider using in my productions.

This set looks good. They're running a special for the next week or so, get two sets for the price of one, til end of April only. I bought it myself, and have no connection w/the producer. Just a heads - up, may be worth considering if you do chromakey/v-set work.

But they're only SD NTSC!
Hm, now I can see a way to make a buck that doesn't need any creativity (which I'm seriously lacking), just go out and shoot background plates, shoot the same thing at 50p, 60p and 24p.
Include motion tracking data as well so you can match camera angles for the foreground, would there be a market for such product?

Good question... the answer would be yes, though the market's a subset of those who do chromakey work ... and agree HD NTSC and PAL would be likely expansions if/when this first product does well.

Challenge w/keys is always ... need believable flooring/front/back set elements, in addition to static or video backgrounds ... Serious Magic's done a great job of this ... looks like this new product is doing a solid job as well ...

I'll post a review on keying results + usability once I try them out.
Overall, they look/feel like quality sets from the vid preview/thumbs I can see .. so I'm looking forward to giving them a spin.
