OT: New Vid/ Fashion Show

MUTTLEY wrote on 5/8/2010, 9:56 AM

Just in case anyone would want to give it a peek, finally posted the full version of a fashion show I did a week or so ago. I had put up a rough cut version but the latest is the finished with the credits that took me a bit of time to figure out what I wanted to do. There's a bunch of info on the vid itself but this was done with two EX1's recording in slomo, two T2i's that were roaming and handheld, and a GY-HM100U because someone I know had one and figured I may as well us it. That one was the static side shot.

If your offended by beautiful women in bikini's you might not want to watch this one.

Don't know how to say this exactly... you wouldn't happen to be an "as_ man" would you? Yes, I thought so.

Aptly named. I don't think I have a thread of hope there.

lol, thanks. And no, not really an "a man", just trying to show off the designers designs. =)

Hi Ray

For me the page seems to hang on loading the video, everything else is loaded. Will try later...

Ok - works again now :-)

As always Ray, good work, really like your stuff :-)

The photomontage in the start, is it vagas only or UltimateS or similar too?

Thanks Ulf, love UltimateS for photo montages but this was all done the hard way. =)

Yes I liked the montage stuff very much also, I am curious how or what is the hard way, if it is a trade secret I will understand but I have a similar type project coming up (no bikini's)...crap... but photo montage stuff and am very impressed with the work, but have no idea how to do that. Can ya help a brother out....

No trade secrets here, and really not "hard", but can be time consuming.

First I touched up the pics in Photoshop to my liking. I would just find an image that was longer, ie landscape, and put that on the bottom layer. I would keyframe in just a little punch-in movement in the event pan/crop. I would drop in a taller, ie portrait image and with pan/crop position where I wanted it over the background image and do keyframes to zoom in on that one. I would do that for the top three images. The background images are all overlaid and crossfade into one another. Being as this pretty much repeats I would bring in my next images, make them about the same length, and then copy one of the previous ones that were already adjusted and paste event properties to the next one that was in the same position on the next set of images which saved a lot of time. And the images were made black and white with the Black and White effect in Vegas so when the images come up at the end all I had to do was remove the effect to give it an entirely different look.

Hope that helps!
