I have a requirement to do some very basic mixing in a room where music is being played (feeding inputs to a CD recorder). The problem is that even with headphones on, the sound from the room is heard along with the headphone inputs, so it's difficult to get the inputs balanced.

Would noise-cancelling headphones help this problem?
