thought i'd post this as a warning to those reaching a certain age, or using a wacom....

i use to use a graphite with a logitech cordless mouse, but i just treated myself to the bigger bamboo it's great), that comes with a mouse.

all going wonderfully till i get that 'cramp' in the back of my hand from using the pen for too long, so, i use the mouse. no problem, till...

i open photoshop where everything works, apart from brushes, clone tool. i panic, check with every scanner on the universe, nada, so i reinstall cs3. still no brushes. i eventually decide to do a restore (via acronis) from last weeks b/up - which i knew was working.

still no brushes. about to throw a wobbly (at my age i wobble anyway), when my wife walks in and say's 'why you using the mouse in photoshop?'. i explain about the cramp and that i regularly swap betwwen, pen / mouse - exec chair / exercise ball... then she asks, quite reservedly, 'have you tried the pen?'

the rest you can guess.....

since when did the pen preclude the mouse in ps?
