OT: Photoshop elements

Anyone who is thinking about getting photoshop may want to check out little brother photoshop elements 2. This program came free with a wacom tab I received for christmas. I think 3 is now out.
As a regular photoshop user I loaded it on my pc just to see what it had,, was blown away. This program is probably all I would need for at least 75%(maybe more, trying to justify my photoshp purchase) , of what i do in photoshop. Doesnt look like it has filmstrip though, photoshop plugs seem to work ,very powerful for a hundred bucks, or free .

I suspect it might do 95% of what you want for video. I have both 2 and 3. One difference is PSE 2/3 does 24 bit color, while PS handles 48 bit. Also, I think PS automagically slices and dices big pictures into smaller ones for web pages. Plug-ins seems to work too.

PS has presets for non-square pixel images for DV, PSE3 does not (but you get those DV presets if you buy Premiere Studio (or whatever Premiere lite is called)...cute Adobe marketing ploy.).
