OT - Prepare To Be Moved

All,
Sorry to go this far off topic but had to share the below link to a slide show of our military doing the job in the Middle East. This is not a blood and guts show, rather pictures of our men and women on guard. Hats off to all those who serve. May your Thanksgiving be a safe one.

I've been trying to think of what to say, so my political/religeous/philosophical opinions
don't get in the way.

So I'll say that if someone made a slide show of all the people in ALL the countries who support the US and US troops regardless of what their governments say, it would go on forever.

Thanks.

I was OK until I saw the little girl with the sign “My Daddy, My Hero”. Then I got all choked up. We forget the incredible sacrifice of not only out brave soldiers, but of their families as well. That was a beautify tribute. Thanks for sharing.

What strikes me so much is the compassion, dedication, and bravery you see in the faces. At every opportunity, they reach out to the local people, taking time to share more than just commodities. It isn't seen much on the news but it is common. They face danger daily and endure the pain of family sacrifice always mindful of what could happen...and still they carry on. It is a great thing they do. There are none better.

Thank you, Randy. On a slow dialup, I was concerned it wouldn't be worth it. It was worth the wait. Here we all sit and worry about color correction, aspect ratio, and framerate while a simple slideshow conveys a powerful meaning and emotion that carries more story and message than you'd possibly imagine.
Very powerful, and very poignant for the day.

Thank you for that link - without one spoken word, it conveys - well I certainly can't put it into words - Happy Holidays to all.

Well... what can I say? It's difficult to type on a wet keyboard.
