OT: Pricing for talent, time frames, etc.

I am considering a DVD project for a national banking institute that will be diseminated nation wide to schools to educate students on the use and misuse of credit. It looks to be a 15 minute script (they have already created the script).

They expect to have three actors who will play the roles.

I have not used actors, but have done numerous interview videos.

- How much does it typically cost for these type of actors (initial cost, royalties (even though they are not sold)?
- What level of professionals would your recommend, or can I recruit some college acting students?
- Where is a good local source (Austin, TX)?
- Any processess for this?

I would also have to block the shots. I have done some of this, but not much. I don't want to get over my head, but then I want the opportunity.

Any tips?

Hey Milt, got some info for an old pal?

Ted

shouldn't be any royalties involved unless national broadcast

local unknown talent shouldn't cost much 200 for a short shoot 300 or more for most of day

you could also find much less expensive local unknown talent

contact the local modeling/acting agencies in your area

they'll be happy to do a call for you where you can see people, collect head shots and even do test vids so you see how they look on vid

Any other comments?

One thing. The script is 7 pages for 3 people. How does this come into affect (they will have to memorize their script)?
