I use epson print cd that came with my R300. Works fine. Just, DO NOT leave the cd/dvd unattended when printing. You will need to finish pulling it out of the tray as it feeds out after printing. If I walk away my printer always gives me a jam error.

I also use the software that came with the printer with minimal problems.

The weirdness you encounter may actually be common regardless of the software. THe first disk I attempt to print usually gives me issues with rejection - out the back - and the print heads going crazy, after the first one though it acts normal and prints the way it should.

Good luck and it is a great printer once the bugs get worked out.

Use the software that came with the Epson. Although not perfect it will work fine.

Ditto.
Epson software is acceptable for my needs.
Comes with the R200.
Never had a problem.

storm: did you change your print media to CD/DVD? You need to do that.

I recomend making whatever you want in a graphics program first, don't bother with making things in those label programs... they have FAR less features.

but if that's all you have.... :)

I usually use the very limited Print CD program that came with the Epson but in this case I have a client that designed their own label in Nero.

Thanks,

Marc

Try pasting the Nero to the clipboard and bringing that into the Epson print program. Might work.

or you could do a screen capture of the nero label & paste that in to a new image via photoshop or something & then import that into epson.

Screen capture works pretty well. If you don't have one. I always recommend "MWSnap". It can be found at nonags dot com. Just look in the screen capture section of the "free software for everybody". Very simple and non-intrusive software. Saves in a number of formats. There are lots of screen capture utilities, this is just one I know about.

Windows has a built-in screen cap. Press CTRL-Print Screen then create a new file in Photoshop (or whatever) and paste it there. It does the whole screen, so just crop it.

Mine will let you take any size you want. Two clicks of the mouse and you go from one corner, diagonally to the opposite corner. Or the whole screen. And it's free too. Why waste time cropping later when it will show you exactly what you're getting before you make the 2nd click.
