Just wanted to thank Douglas, Mannie & John at VASST for their help in getting our technology together. We shot on a Canon HX-A1 with the Letus Extreme and Canon FD glass. We've posted stills and a fun little "possible ghost" page, in case anyone is interested. Teaser trailer will be up sometime next week.

Congratulations!

Looks very promising.

(I liked the Chinimble Lore home page also, with their comment on the film industry.)

Looks like you had a lot of fun shooting it.
From what you've shown us so far only comment I can make is do something with that replacement sky. If need be go shoot some ominous sunrise/sets, match camera angle and focal length to when you shot the house. Maybe match the lighting of the house to changes in the sky, might help or not.
If you can't shoot the real deal Artbeats have a couple of timelapse skies for free that could work with a bit of a tweak.

Bob.

Kevin, looks sweet. Can't wait to see the trailer work get online. Was just listening to your 10Man Push project a few minutes ago, too.
Killer work!

Kevin, the ghost thing was kind of cool, but nothing compared to the pic of the dude with the long hair and the creepy look on his face,,wow!!
want to see it , I expect it is nothing but great

The dude with the long hair is one of our producers. But, unlike most producers, he isn't scary at all in real life...

It was a really LONG, but rewarding shoot. I'll keep everyone posted on our progress.

On another note - does that "ghost" look like a digital artifact? Obviously we're playing it up for PR, but I'm really wondering what it actually was...

I can't say for sure what the "ghost" is, but judging by the look of it I'd say it's the shadow of something, and by the way it moves I'd guess it's the shadow of something on a handheld boom - a boom mike or something along those lines.

It certainly doesn't look to me like a digital artifact though.

You don't know what it is........maybe the production is haunted.
Definitely is going to be a must see!

Well, it wasn't a shadow - shadows just don't "disappear" like this thing did. Aside form it being possible PR fodder, it really is a bit on the "unexplainable" side.

(Imagine the above spoken by Vincent Price...)

Kevin, I like the flash intro. And that broken finger nail still gave me the willies.

If you look at it carefully frame by frame you'll see that it doesn't disappear while in shot, in fact it drifts up and out of frame. (Shortly after it has drifted out of frame the camera tilts up to reveal the area where it would have gone to and there is no sign of it at that point, so it may have disappeared while out of view, but it can't really be said to disappear in the true sense of the word.)

It's a great shame the girl on the right has black hair as it makes it impossible to be sure whether it passes behind her or in front of her.

Anyone else got any ideas?
