The top screen can be sorted by items or size, so you can quickly see which folders are eating up space. The middle section lets you quickly see what type of file is the problem. Finally, the bottom shows you the largest individual files.

My all time favorite is SequoiaView which displays tree maps. Be sure to turn on coloring on the left of the tool bar.

Last released in 2002 and does work fine to this day even in Vista according to their FAQ and its free.
