Here's a quick timesaver: until I build a new dedicated render pc, rather than taking up my main computer for renders, I've been now putting my source avis on external WD/seagate drives, attaching via firewire to my laptops, and doing all my Vegas source renders + DVD renders on my laptops; which saves a lot of time... then I can burn DVDs via my external sony drive using the laptop.
also the new sony external DVDirect drive is superb, especially for converting old vhs's, works great, got it from newegg for less than 150 i think.. works standalone connected to a camcorder/vhs tape drive, and/or via usp to pcs..
just a quick tip there..
