OT: Rendered Vegas Avid file won't open in HB

This is probably a topic for the Handbrake forums, but I wanted to check here with some of the experts that use similar methods.

I followed the suggestions in the above post above and rendered a short SD AVI video using the QT Mov/ Avid codec 1:1x. Here's a pic of the render settings: http://s46.photobucket.com/user/mixer440/media/CustomSettings_zps42db9b11.jpg.html

The resulting file will not import into Hand Brake (nightly beta). It crashes before anything else.

Well, Handbrake gave me an exception too.
Probably best to report it on their Bugs forum.

[b]UPDATE[/B] Avid DV codec works.

Using a real basic setup, with the command line version of ffmpeg it works fine. Example: ffmpeg -i "%%a" -c:v libx264 -crf 20 -preset slow -c:a libvo_aacenc -b:a 128k

Musicvid: Would you be willing to post this error in the HB forums. I think you have a bit more expertise in the terms.

It sounds like a difference between libav and ffmpeg, and I'll share your observations on the HB developer board.
