OT: Rotoscoping pros

Coursedesign wrote on 7/31/2007, 7:42 PM
Anyone who does enough professional roto to where it hurts, and would like to use the very best tool for planar tracking (with automatic positioning, rotation, scaling, shearing, and perspective-shift), check out Imagineer Motor at http://www.imagineersystems.com/products/motor/.

It's normally about $1600, so it's not a trivial tool.

But if you do roto professionally (doesn't have to be full time), I can send you a hidden deal to buy it at a small fraction of that price. This deal is valid only "until Aug. 1" whatever that means (ends at midnight today or midnight tomorrow?).

I can't just post it here, that would be inappropriate. If anyone is interested, just click on my name and send me an e-mail.

I have absolutely no connection with imagineersystems, other than as a satisfied customer of their Mofex package that I bought last year, and Motor which I just bought and am already in love with.

Motor is available for Windows, OS X, and Linux. See above link for full info, and download a trial if you want.

Ben Grossman of The Syndicate reported a traditionally rotoscoped 88 keyframe shot needing only 4 in motor. Tighter tracks, less work...

Did I say half?

No, I said "a small fraction of."

I'm a power shopper. My spine is not leaving the back of my editing chair for "cents off coupons."

:O)

I just e-mailed you the info.

Is it too late for this deal? Still 9:00pm here.

Nah, I'm figuring it's 3 hours till midnight, and then there is still plenty of time left for Hawai'i.

And "until Aug. 1" may be an inclusive date, I just don't know.

I'm e-mailing you right now.
