I don't know about SDI cables but I do know about BNC RG58, RG59, RG62, RG ETC. Having installed many a connector on these cables and testing them with a sweep generator I can safely say they are very unreliable and very different from one to the other. We considered them worse than dog crap and had to continually check them after use. One slightly loose connector can reak havoc with certain frequencies (50 to 1000mgs) and make the sweep look like the Rocky Mountains. I could go on and on with the grizzly details but there isn't enough room on this forum.

SDI (SMPTE 259M) is 800mV, 75Ohm ..

I prefer canare or Belden's Flexable 8281 Cable "B88281" or the Canare equal (we generally use the Canare with only canare connectors which are avaiable in either 110ohm , 75ohm or 50ohm) ..

many cheap BNC connectors are not 75ohm ...
