The only reason I started taking movies in the 60's was because of Cinemascope.
I still can't get enough of it. Cinerama and Todao? didn't do a thing for me.

Yes, OLED displays will be the pinnacle for quite a while. They solve every problem inherent in LCD/LED monitors - most significant that LCD, LED and Plasma monitors cannot be calibrated. Black is black and and white is white because there's no backlight. OLEDS run cooler and consume less power (since there's no backlight).

The downside - manufacturing yield is pretty low so prices will be significantly higher than LED/LCD monitors for years to come.
