OT: Sending a link in an email

Okay, I know this is WAY off-topic for this board, but you guys no doubt know the answer.

I want to send a hyperlink in an Outlook Express email. The link is so long that it wraps to the next line, and only the first line is highlighted. So when the recipient gets the email and clicks on the hyperlink he gets an error message, because only part of the full address was used.

There must be some simple way around this.

if they copy/paste the entire thing that will work.

outlook also has a link button I think, to put links in e-mail. With thunderbird I can add links as attachments.

Use one of the many URL forwarding services online like TinyURL or Shorl.

There's also a website that compares the various services.

That said, some mail clients (on the receiving end) are smart enough to "hyperlink" a URL even if it gets broken up among lines.

You can try this too: http://tinyurl.com/

You put in a huge link and it gives you back a very short one that goes to the same place.

Actually, that would probably be good for people posting long links in here too.

Thanks to all. I was right; the people on this board collectively really do know pretty much everything.
