Sorry Leslie but I get a .wav file when I do that.
Tried it with a .wav file, miniDV footage and an mp3 file as source material and got wav files all 3 times.
edit: I'm sure you know this but .wpd is a WordPerfect file extension
Maybe you folks from "down under" do things differently than the rest of the world?
:-)
honestly boss, i tried three times and it saved it with a .wpd extension
closed, came back after coffee, and now we're back to .wav?
i'm beginning to think this present project is jinxed. thought i'd record vo straight to sf, but i got a lot of 'crackling' on the voice (silent areas were silent). i'm presuming my front mini jack is causing the noise, or maybe the cable in the box?
either way, went back to tape and simply captured it as usual. all went well.
then the client asks for a copy on tape!!!?? well, i explained politely, i haven't seen an audio tape cassette or reel in over 8 years. what do you need it for? oh, he replies, to play for my wife. i ask if he's got a computer (after a 2 week email exchange....), yes he replies. how about if i email it you and you can play it on your computer?
wow, you can do that?
duh!
obviously the sun's out and brain cells are frying.
