Your timing couldn't be better. Just saw an article over at Tom's Hardware.

I have had great luck with the Minolta/Konika color lasers. Several of my customers use them. One, a dental facilty, prints out all of there intraoral pictures on a Minolta/Konika 2300DL. They save a done of money compared to printing on an inkjet printer.

I have the Minolta/Konika 2300DL at work and it does a very nice job. I've run close to 90,000 sheets through it in the last 2 years and have had no problems with it.

About the only thing I don't like is the printer tells you when to change the toner based on calculations of it's own and it is rarely accurate.

For instance, I've gone through several reams of paper after it tells me the black toner is empty.

The problem with this is that if you try to maximize using all the toner, you have to watch carefully and change it when you see the reds, yellows and blues aren't quite right.

We got our printer online, but I've seen this printer at Sam's Club for I think $350-$400. That was 5-6 months ago, so it may be less now.

Hope this helps.

Thanks all for the replies. It will get me started. I regularly visit Tom's Hardware but havent in a while and will also compare the Konica Minolta to the THG survey.

I've got the Dell 3000CN, and it's been great. No complaints at all, and the toner cartridges are (comparatively) cheap.

I have the Okidata C5150 ($499 from Staples) and I have used it since last December. It has never had a single paper jam in over 3,000 pages, produces spectacular output, is very fast, and is relatively inexpensive to use. Oki's customer service is superb!
