OT: Smooth Jazz Music Sources for production

Cliff Etzel wrote on 9/23/2008, 5:54 AM
I've had comments left regarding my first wedding documentary video I shot and the issue of music that's copyrighted has become apparent.

Since I personally listen to quite a bit of this genre of music, and those whom I'm marketing to tend to be of the same persuasion, I'm trying to find resources for incorporating this genre of music into my wedding work.

Anyone know of resources I can go to for sampling the quality of this style of music and then purchasing it on a royalty free basis?

Thanks,

Cliff, I have no idea what their rates are but Freeplay Music has 10 different styles of jazz to check out.
This recent thread has more suggestions for royalty-free sources.

You video looked pretty cool. Have a look at:
www.digitaljuice.com
www.smartsound.com

Both are very good choices and I use both. If you buy at the right time, prices are excellent.

Edit: I do use Cinescore as well, but IMO I think it is overpriced for what it is/does in comparison to the others. Also tends to be a bit more electronic:
