SMPTE is in Sydney this year, next Tuesday to Friday at the Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre, sure not NAB or IBC but much less jetlag getting there.
I'm told JVC will have their new HD cam there and no doubt heaps of other HDV stuff will be on show. A lot of the items are pretty heavily focussed on those with deep pockets but they can serve as an inspiration even if you cannot afford the real deal.
If any other Vegemites want to say "Hi", I'll be at the Digihire stand all week, I'm the one with a beard.
