Hacker Says Snow Leopard Is Less Secure Than Windows 7

"One of the most often used superiority claims that Apple users utilise against Windows is the apparent additional security
that Apple Snow Leopard offers over Windows 7. However, security experts have chipped away at the myth that macs are more secure than PCs. These include a key mac hacker who has pointed out a key feature that makes Snow Leopard less secure than Windows 7. "

It is true that Snow Leopard's Address Randomization is less thorough than what's in Windows 7.

How does that mean that SL is less safe than W7?

What about all the security problems that have been discovered in W7 even before it's released?

As the singer voiced, "All OSes suck."

So you turn off Java and especially if you're on Windows you also turn off scripting in your web browser other than for specific sites you have whitelisted yourself (and if you're really careful you'll protect your DNS also).

How then will a remote hacker write code to execute on your machine?

I'm sure they'll find a way, but that goes quite far for protection.

I'm waiting for my W7 upgrade until it is formally released, and will install it a few weeks later when those on the bleeding edge have hopefully stopped bleeding.
