OT: Sony ACID loop discs OK?

I want to invest in some ACID loop discs, but given the recent weirdness with rootkits being installed from Sony music CDs, I began to wonder if perhaps there's a risk of some of the same silliness with the ACID loop discs.

I figure not, as the loops are royalty free. But still. Any reason for concern on my part?

I don't know, but i would sincerely doubt it. If you're concerned, disable autorun for your CD drives or at least hold down the shift key when you insert the disc.

Please read the many, many posts about the rootkits on this board that point out the SONY MUSIC/BMG is a separate company from Sony Media Software.

Considering that music CDs can be played outside of a computer, but that Loop Libraries MUST be put in your computer, if they put a rootkit on a Loop Library, they would probably kill their entire business.

I would just contact Sony directly and ask this question.
